Affectionately known as "Mother of the Goldfields" the town of Coolgardie has much to offer the Trail visitor. It is the starting point of the Golden Quest Discovery Trail and where the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia were first established. Prospectors Bayley and Ford first discovered gold at Coolgardie in 1892. There is a full range of services and facilities and some wonderful attractions that are well worth spending the time to discover.
